CVE Safety Incentive Program

Program Description

Cache Valley Electric announces a new Safety Incentive Program. The program "CVE Safety Incentive Program" allows qualified employees who exhibit safe working practices to be rewarded by redeeming accrued safety points for merchandise. Through our custom safety incentive program, we encourage every employee to:

  • practice safe job behavior
  • reduce accidents and injuries
  • attend company safety meetings & trainings
  • increase the safety culture
  • redeem safety points for awards based on safe job practices & knowledge

Eligible Participants

All Cache Valley Electric Employees approved through the Safety Department are eligible.

How to Participate

Each Employee will receive a password & login to the CVE Safety Website. Employees will be able to view and track accrued points, search for redeemable awards, and track the shipment of merchandise.

How to Accrue Points

Safety points are accrued by safe job practices. For every safe hour worked, one safety point is given to the employee. Superintendents and safety officers may choose to award additional points for outstanding safety practices. Points may be deducted for accidents, safety infractions, and/or negligence.

How to Track Your Award Points

Award Point additions and subtractions are tracked on the Employee paystub weekly. Point total reductions from award redemptions can be viewed in the participant's personal account on the safety website.

Redemption

Participants redeem safety rewards by logging onto the safety website, reviewing available points, and searching for reward merchandise equal to or less than the employees accrued point total.

Rewards can only be claimed by the individual employee and are not transferable to other employees or any other person. Rewards are not redeemable for cash.

Awards

Awards can be viewed by going to http://safety.cve.com/ and logging in with the participant's personal login/password. Gifts can be searched by category, item description, or point total. CVE branded apparel is available under the category "CVE Logoed Merchandise"

Miscellaneous

Verified Award Points may be redeemed for merchandise only as stated in these Terms and Conditions. There is no cash alternative. CVE reserves the right to substitute similar or better quality merchandise or to substitute manufacturers in the event of unavailability, or both.

The CVE Safety Incentive Program award points are not transferrable under any condition. All claims are subject to verification by CVE, whose decisions as to the validity of the points earned and matters relating to this program are final.

Participant must refer to all warranty information included with merchandise and contact manufacturer for repairs.

By participating in this program, the participant agrees to release and hold harmless CVE and its Incentive Company and their respective officers, directors, employees from and against any claims or causes of action arising out of participation in the program or out of receipt or undelivered merchandise selected pursuant to this program.

CVE is not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions; or for technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, electronic malfunctioning of any network, hardware, or software or electronic or human error that may occur in the processing of entries. CVE reserves the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or with the operations of the program, or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action with CVE arising out of or connected with this Program, the determination or validity of claims, shall be resolved individually and exclusively by arbitration under the Commercial Dispute Resolution Procedures. Any and all claims, judgments and settlements shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this program, but not attorneys' fees. Participants hereby waive all rights (1) to claim or be awarded any punitive, direct, indirect, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other that for actual out of pocket expenses, and (2) to have damages otherwise increased.

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Utah.

CVE reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or modify this program at any time. Any modification of these terms and conditions shall be communicated to Employees via e-mail, mail or payroll or will posted on the program web site at http://safety.cve.com and/or the CVE website at www.cve.com.
